How to Pick the Right Troy-Bilt Leaf Blower
October 24th, 2022 at 4:11 pm   starstarstarstarstar

Fall is the perfect season to take stock of your outdoor power equipment. Do you need replacement parts as the weather begins to change? What about that new tool you've been keeping your eye on? With fall in full force and winter approaching, it's a good time to clear those dead leaves from your yard. Read our guide and learn how to pick the right Troy-Bilt leaf blower.

First, think about the size of your yard.

If your yard is small, a lightweight, electric blower will best suit your needs.

For mid-size yards, think of a 2 or 4 cycle gas blower. These units are limited by power cords, and some come with vacuum bags for collecting the leaves.

If you have a large yard, you may want to invest in a backpack or wheeled blower. The backpack blowers are more comfortable for longer periods of operation, while wheeled blowers are more powerful and ideal for clearing a lot of leaves from large yards.

Next, consider the power and speed ratings of your ideal equipment. There are two ratings to pay attention to: MPH and cubic feet/minute (CFM). CFM measures the volume of air the blower can move in a minute, and the MPH measures the speed at which the machine blows. The higher the numbers, the higher blowing power your equipment has. If you need to remove heavy, wet leaves, you want to look for higher CFM and MPH ratings.

Lastly, consider the ease of use of your Troy-Bilt leaf blower. Electric blowers require little maintenance and are very easy to use for small lawns. 4 cycle gas blowers take straight fuel, so require no mixing of oil and gas.

All Troy-Bilt handheld gas blowers are jump start capable. Jump start power start technology eliminates pull starts. You simply plug the unit into your blower or other jump start capable equipment, squeeze the trigger, and get to work.
